Come Walk With Me for independence Walk-a-thon

You are invited to make a difference in the lives of those with disabilities in our
community. The Independent Living Centre is hosting their 8th annual wheel and
walkathon on June 25th 2011 at Greenway Park in London from 11:30 am to 4:00 pm.
Guest speakers will include Hon. Chris Bentley, Attorney General, MPP London West,
Hon. Deb Matthews, Minister of Health, MPP London North Centre and Councillor
Stephen Orser, Ward 4. Come out for a fun day of games, music, barbequing, and a
stroll in the park. Bring your pledges to this fundraising event for a chance to win prizes,
and help people with disabilities achieve independence.

The Independent Living Centre is a non-profit organization focused on helping those
with disabilities to realize their full potential. Our mission is to provide information and support to all people with disabilities as they take risks in directing and managing their lives. The proceeds from this event will help to sustain initiatives and programs offered at our centre such as workshops, peer support, information booklets, community education and more.
