The Power of Ideas Conference is a highly impactful conference that inspires and mobilizes people to turn their positive ideas into action to better our community.

Come and learn from the inspirational journeys of our community’s most influential leaders and connect with like-minded people including entrepreneurs, young adults, professionals and philanthropists.

Speakers:

Arlene Dickinson (CEO of Venture Communications Ltd.): If you are a fan of Arlene from Dragon's Den, then this event is not to be missed!! She is one of Canada's most renowned independent marketing communications entrepreneurs. Her vision has driven Venture’s growth, successfully building it from a local firm into one of Canada’s largest independent marketing firms, with offices in Calgary and Toronto.

Michael Prosserman (Executive Director of UNITY Charity), competed against many of the world's top break dancers, performed in Cirque Du Soleil and was selected as a finalist in the Top 20 Under 20 Award. He has reached over 30000 young people in Canada since 2007. He will be performing live at the conference!

Isaac Olowolafe (CEO of Dream Fund Holdings), a successful business owner with a great passion for helping people to create wealth through real estate. At the age of 26, Isaac was the youngest person to start a scholarship at the University of Toronto, and gave the largest endowment for African Studies in Canada ever.

Peter Linseman (Owner of Music Mentor Productions), a prolific songwriter, a versatile producer and a positively inspired mentor to many acclaimed artists, including Tanvi Shah (Grammy & Oscar awards winner for the song Jai Ho in Slumdog Millionaire), Eliana Jones (co-start of hit TV show Nikita) and Laure Shang (China's top female superstar). He is also involved with Building Bands Canada, a charity that provides musical mentorship to low income/at-risk youth.

Jane Zhang (Executive Director of TechSoup Canada), a successful entrepreneur of a non-profit organization aimed at building relationships between the voluntary, public, and private sectors to make technology more accessible for charities and nonprofits. Since its launch in 2009, TechSoup Canada has distributed over 90 Million dollars worth of software and hardware to Canadian nonprofits.
