Nellie's Women's Shelter Nellie’s Women's Shelter provides shelter, safety and support for women and their children who are experiencing personal and financial crisis because of violence, poverty, homelessness, and despair. Our programs include a 36-bed Shelter and a Community Support and Outreach Program that focus on the diverse needs of marginalized women. Since 1974, Nellie’s has helped to rebuild the lives of over 13,000 women and children in our community. Nellie's is a non-profit women's organization that assists women and children in crisis. It operates a 36-bed emergency shelter for women and children who are homeless and who are subjected to violence.
