The School of Toronto Dance Theatre presents its end of year performance, showcasing dancers from all three years of the Professional Training Program.
• First year students will present a colourful and energetic new work by
Sharon B. Moore, as well as a thoughtful and challenging new piece by Darryl Tracy.
• Second year students will perform in two brand new creations by established choreographers and School alumnae: Jennifer Dallas will develop her rich movement ideas, which draw on ancient patterns of social interaction, while Louis Laberge-Côté will use his signature physicality to create an intriguing new work.
• Third year students will remount Christopher House’s Vena Cava – full-tilt dancing in an exhilarating classic from the Toronto Dance Theatre’s repertory. The graduating class will also perform excerpts of Joe and Rodolphe by the internationally acclaimed Jean-Pierre Perreault, whose work is deeply rooted in space and place, rhythm and sound, bringing us face to face with our human nature.
