Join us for the annual Walk, Run or Ride in the Park for Scleroderma on Saturday June 23 2018! This is a public awareness event to help raise funds for Scleroderma awareness, education, and research. Thanks to the thousands that participated last year, we were able to raise over $465,000 and now we need your support once again! Scleroderma is a chronic, often progressive autoimmune disease – like rheumatoid arthritis, lupus and multiple sclerosis – in which the body’s immune system attacks its own tissues. The disease, which literally means “hard skin” can cause thickening and tightening of the skin, as well as serious damage to internal organs and affects 1 in 2500 Canadian men, women and children. All funds raised at the event will be donated to the Scleroderma Society of Ontario, a registered Ontario charity committed to promoting public awareness, advancing patient wellness and supporting research in scleroderma.
