ANY DUPLICATE ORDERS WILL BE CANCELLED Want to spend some time during the holidays helping others in your community? Come volunteer at Daily Bread’s Holiday Drive Public Food Sorts! You and a few hundred other volunteers will sort through Holiday Drive food donations at our warehouse located at 191 New Toronto Street (Islington and Lakeshore). Individuals, families, and small groups of ten people or fewer are welcome to attend one 2½ hour shift per person. FAQs Minors: Ratio of adult to minors: A minimum of 1 adult is required for every 6 children aged 8-14. Under 8: For health and safety reasons absolutely no children under the age of 8 are allowed in our working warehouse where forklifts and trucks make it unsafe for children under that age. 8-17 year-old volunteers must have a permission/waiver form signed by a parent/guardian and must hand in the signed form during sign-in on the day of the event. A link to the form will be included in the confirmation email. 8-14 year-old volunteers must also be accompanied by an adult alongside whom they will be volunteering throughout the entire shift. Dress Code: Remember to wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting dirty and absolutely no open-toed shoes. Media will be onsite. If you have questions or would like to change your request once you have submitted the form, please email us at
