Overview:
Earth Day Canada is currently seeking a volunteer to help promote the Community Environment Fund (CEF) by expanding the program’s outreach database.

About the Earth Day Canada Community Environment Fund (CEF):
The Earth Day Canada Community Environment Fund (CEF), in partnership with Sobeys, provides financial grants of up to $20 000 to support local environmental initiatives and projects in Ontario. As a result, not-for-profit organizations, charities and schools have a greater opportunity to develop sustainable projects that educate and inspire action in communities across the province.

Core Responsibilities:

-Diversify CEF’s outreach database to include educational institutions, faith-based organizations, youth groups, not-for-profits and charities
-Assist in the online promotion of CEF
-Provide general program and administrative support as necessary

Qualifications:

-Excellent research skills
-Working knowledge of the internet and Microsoft Office suite
-Able to work well independently and also as an active team member
-A keen interest in environmental issues and community driven initiatives

Additional Information:

The Outreach and Database Volunteer must be available part-time (2 days a week) from November 21 - to December 16. This position can be done from home or in the Earth Day Canada office.
