The Canadian Cancer Society - 2012 Daffodil Days Campaign team we are looking for Area Hub Captains & Location Convenors Committee Volunteers to help make the Campaign a huge success.

2012 Daffodil Days Campaign – Area Hub Captain & Location Convenor – Volunteer Committee Positions

The daffodil is the Canadian Cancer Society's symbol of strength, courage and life. The bright, cheerful blooms are sold every year and mark the beginning of Daffodil Month.

Funds raised from the 2012 Daffodil Days Campaign will help support the Canadian Cancer Society’s mission to eradicate cancer and enhance the quality of life of Canadians living with cancer.

How can you help?

If you would like to be part of the 2012 Daffodil Days Campaign team we are looking for Area Hub Captains & Location Convenors Committee Volunteers to help make the Campaign a huge success.

Your willingness to fight back against cancer, your strong leadership skills and ties to your local community will benefit you as you work alongside Society Staff and the organizing committee planning this wonderful campaign. Below you will find a brief description of the two committee positions available:

Area Hub Captain

Four Locations: North York, Toronto Central, Etobicoke, Scarborough

Role:
Work closely with CCS Staff planning and implementing of the Daffodil Days campaign. During the Campaign you will oversee all the Area Hub activity.

Key responsibilities
• One Hub Captain for each of the four locations
• Regular monthly meetings during February and March with CCS staff planning the 2012 Daffodil Days Campaign.
• Two campaign day shifts available (8:00am – 3:00pm & 2:00pm – 9:00pm)
• Oversee Hub activity
• Work with the Location Convenors and Drivers during the Daffodil Days Campaign
• Strong organizational skills
• Solid oral and written communication skills
• Familiarity with MS office and Internet browsers an asset

Time commitment
• Regular monthly meetings during February and March approximately 8 to 10 hours per month
• One or both campaign day shifts available (8:00am – 3:00pm & 2:00pm – 9:00pm)
• Thursday March 29th
• Friday March 30th
• Saturday March 31st
• Sunday April 1st

Requirements & qualifications
• organizational skills
• strong communication skills
• familiarity with MS Office and Internet browsers
• some fundraising knowledge or experience would be an asset

Location Convenor

Four Locations: North York, Toronto Central, Etobicoke, Scarborough
